HAHIRA MOVING FORWARD
In recent weeks, I have personally received inquiries from members of the community concerning growth & economic issues impact-ling our city in light of some construction that is taking place. As I have often stated, the city' is moving forward. The strength of this council is that it is willing to put into action the very needs our community has identified through its strategic plan/vision.

The basic goal of this council is to foster and nurture policies & programs that improve the life for all our people; initiatives that are sustainable and represent continuous improvement over time. As Mayor Pro-Tem/Councilman, I am aware that decisions and choices made today should not limit the choices and opportunities of our future generations.

Yes, I am excited about our prospects for growth. Growth means development.  However, this growth should be a smart,  slow, conservative, reasonable, sensible manageable, and controllable growth.

This Council:

2) Continue to monitor and evaluate solutions to minimize and alleviate traffic congestion on Hagan Bridge Rd/Claudia Drive.
3) Try to expand our local economy- Encourage Hahira residents to shop in Hahira.
4)Work with Chambers of Commerce for economic
development of small businesses in Hahira-to increase job opportunities.
5) Keep our residents safe and secure, free from fear of crime and violence.
6) Open Fire station #2 on the other side of town to ensure adequate Fire response at all times in all parts of the community
7) Provide constructive after-school activities for every child in the city.
8) Provide a Youth Recreation Program.
9) Repair and maintain local streets and roads.
